If there’s anything I look for when considering a candidate for a position it’s their curiosity. I find that curiosity is one of the most important traits in frontend development because of how rapidly the field changes within a few years. Thomas has that spark that keeps him learning in and out of work because I saw that when he worked at Wantable; that he truly enjoyed what he did for a living. That meant that Thomas was able to accelerate quickly and became a crucial part of the frontend team. I was able to rely on him heavily for various tasks. He always had an amazing attitude and always accepted any type of work I gave him with open arms. That was one of the reasons that Thomas was able to get promoted so quickly from being a junior frontend developer. Even when Thomas went from working in the office every day to working remote in Austin, Texas there was was no drop in the quality of his work. He’s an honest and genuine person and he is a pleasure to work with.
I had the pleasure of working with Thomas for a year at Wantable, and speak honestly when I say that would highly recommend him in any frontend development capacity. Thomas not only has the development chops to make UIs shine and UX function properly, but he also has a keen eye for design and the small tweaks it can take to make a screen/view really stand out.
